881 Movie Poster
Hmmm, watched the movie last Sunday with mama n ah yee, glad they both enjoyed it...
the theme song "zek nang zek buang" and the "chap ji kor lian huay" keep ringing in my head.... quite freaky hor... best part is, u know, getai leaves some seats empty for hao xiong di to sit one, then the WHOLE ROW of seats besides me was empty for the the first 10 min after show start, u cannot imagine my relief when I saw real ppl taking up the seats lor when they come in late...
well, the movie was alright for me, didn't laugh a lot, but did a bit of eye wiping... It was more of a touching movie for me, not so much of a comedy...
now here's the Director's own 881 site: http://royston-tan.blogspot.com/

Inuyasha - 犬夜叉
33's fave anime now, can't stop watching this series, but must start watching from scratch, else will catch no ball and find the series boring.... I really like this...
Here's the short story from Wikipedia
The story begins in Tokyo, Japan with a junior high-school girl named Kagome Higurashi, who, on her way to school, heads to the covered well on the family property (which happens to be a Shinto shrine). She does this to retrieve her cat, Buyo, from the well, since her brother was afraid to go inside. When she approaches the well a centipede demon bursts from the well and grabs her. The demon claims that Kagome possesses the Jewel of the Four Souls (四魂の玉 Shikon no Tama) and attempts to seize it. When the demon is driven off, the very confused Kagome emerges in the Sengoku period of Japan. Kagome wanders into a colossal forest looking for landmarks that she may recognize. She spots the Sacred Tree off in the distance and proceeds to run towards it, where she finds Inuyasha, who is still sealed with an arrow to the tree. He is asleep. Villagers seize her and take her to a nearby village where she meets an old miko (Shinto shrine maiden) by the name of Kaede, who recognizes that Kagome is almost a mirror likeness for Kikyo (Kikyou), her elder sister (and powerful shrine maiden) who had died at the age of 17 and had her body burned with the Jewel of the Four Souls, taking it with her into the afterlife. Kaede relates the story of how, 50 years earlier, a han'yō named InuYasha had tried to steal the Jewel from Kikyo, mortally wounding her in the process, but Kikyo had managed to strike him with a magical arrow, pinning him into an enchanted sleep against a tree and thus retrieving the Jewel before she finally died. It is later shown that Inuyasha had a relationship with the priestess Kikyo and it was not him that tried to steal the jewel but Naraku, an evil character bent on destroying Kikyo, Inuyasha, and many other people. Inuyasha must fight his half brother Sesshomaru because he wants to kill Inuyasha for their father's sword, Tetsusaiga.

Over the Hedge
Hee, finally watch a movie with my super busy sisi, the fair fair pretty pretty (bai bai mei mei) sisi....
We watched "Over the Hedge" at GV Plaza and shopped a bit. Bought a dress, sisi got a mini skirt at a bargain price too... Hmm nice evening. haven't been out with sisi for a while.
Well, the show was quite interesting, it's not one which needs u to think and watch, something u would wanna watch to relax and laugh, I managed a few chuckles despite my seasonal depression, not too bad huh. The animation was quite alright too.
Okie, here it is:
Synopsis:
When R.J. (Bruce Willis), Verne (Garry Shandling) and their woodland friends find a hedge surrounding a suburban housing development encroaching on their forest home, Verne's first instinct is to retreat into his shell and leave. But the ever-opportunistic R.J. sees a treasure trove of food
to be had from his unsuspecting new neighbours and unwittingly leads his friends into more trouble than he could have ever imagined.

Da Vinci Code
Watched the Da Vinci Code with Jas, P & Mz Val. Thanks to Jas for the tixs, got free pop corn somemore.
Not a bad show, but I prefer the book, always, whenever something is film based on the original novel, the book is always better, well, the film has no time to depict all written in the book, plus it's often very diff from my imagination, thus the disappointment.
Ya, me nearly fall to death 3 times in the cinema back and forth to the toilet, so malu.... so many toilet trips, hee, the free coke is the key, my lousy bladder is the next to be blamed.
